7 Feb 2006 — Companies join forces to offer media companies a new way to research their audiences
Telmar, the world-leading supplier of computer-based advertising media information services, has joined forces with London-based Demographix Limited to offer media owners and agencies an exciting new way to research their audiences.
Demographix offers a simple yet powerful collaborative tool enabling non-technical people to create, publish and analyse online surveys using just a web browser.
By allowing customers to access the Demographix system from within their familiar eTelmar environment, clients will be able to perform sophisticated analysis on data collected by Demographix surveys, in combination with other data they have access to.
Telmar Managing Director, Alex Maddox, commented: “Our clients generally know what their target audience is watching, reading, and listening to. And now, with Telmar-Demographix, they can also find out what their audience is thinking. It’s a very powerful new research opportunity for the whole media sector”.

The combined weight of Telmar and Demographix is already proving popular. Leading consumer magazine publisher IPC is on board as the first client, and will be using Demographix extensively.
